    Plamen svece u crnoj rupi Evrope - Flickering Candle in the Black Hole of Europe
    Dragi članovi foruma, dragi prijatelji Srbije,

    Srpski institut za javnu diplomatiju u Briselu (ranije Institut Srbije i Crne Gore), poziva Vas da na manastirsku slavu Veliku Gospojinu, u Gračanici na Kosovu, 28. avgusta 2006. svojim prisustvom uveličate projekat pod nazivom “Plamen sveće u crnoj rupi Evrope”.

    Ovo nije nikakva šala, niti je utopija, već konstruktivan pristup kojim se pruža šansa pojedincima da na konkretan način daju svoj doprinos poboljšanju situacije na Kosovu. Projekat je pripremljen uz blagoslov Njegovog Preosveštenstva episkopa raško-prizrenskog i kosovsko-metohijskog Artemija i podršku premijera Srbije gospodina Koštunice, kao i podršku Koordinacionog centra Srbije za Kosovo i Metohiju.

    Sastoji se iz tri dela:

    -organizovana poseta srpskim enklavama na Kosovu
    -panel diskusija o bezbednosti Kosova i mogućnosti uvođenja hitne telekomunikacione službe
    -svečana proslava sa modnom revijom ručno rađenih odevnih predmeta “Etno mreža”u porti manastira Gračanica

    S’obzirom na situaciju u kojoj se na Kosovu nalazi srpsko i drugo nealbansko stanovništvo, smatramo da je ovo dobra prilika da se upoznate sa svakodnevnim problemima ovih ljudi, i da iz prve ruke sagledate kako im se može najbolje pomoći.

    Kada budete odlučivali o tome da li da svojim prisustvom uveličate projekat imajte u vidu da je Vama data mogućnost da na nekoliko dana podelite sa ovim ljudima brige sa kojima se oni svakodnevno sučavaju. Oni nažalost nemaju tu privilegiju. Oni su tamo i Vi možete na taj dan upaliti sveću nade za multietničko Kosovo kojem oni teže.

    Za one koji žele da finansijski pomognu pripremićemo vebsajt na kome će moći:
    - da pomognu realizaciju samog projekta (pruže logističku podršku, predlože učesnike)
    - da kupe proizvode koje su hrabre žene iz trideset različitih sela iz udruženja Avenija napravile kako bi na Kosovu opstale i ostale (ručne radove, zimnicu, vino i sl.)
    - da obezbede sredstva za neku od stvari sa liste koje su ovim ženama potrebne

    Za sve koji su u mogućnosti da dođu, Koordinacioni centar Srbije za Kosovo i Metohiju obezbediće prevoz Beograd-Gračanica-Beograd i pružiti logističku podršku. Detaljnu agendu poslaćemo naknadno. Molimo potvrdite svoju zainteresovanost i ukoliko imate pitanja ili preporuke u pogledu samog programa kontaktirajte nas što je pre moguće uvažavajući kratak rok za realizaciju projekta.

    Dear Forum members, Dear friends of Serbia,

    Serbian Institute for Public Diplomacy (former Institute of Serbia & Montenegro), has the pleasure to invite you to the monastery celebration of St. Velika Gospojina, which will take place in the Gračanica monastery, Kosovo, on 28 August 2006, and in that way contribute to the project named “The Flickering Candle in the Black Hole of Europe”.

    This is neither a joke, nor utopia, but a constructive approach providing a chance for the individuals to contribute the overall improvement of the Kosovo situation in a conkrete way. The project was prepared with a blessing of His Grace Episcope of Raška-Prizren and Kosovo-Metohia Artemije and the support of the Prime Minister of Serbia Mr Vojislav Kostunica, as well as with the Coordination center of Serbia for Kosovo and Metohia.

    It includes three parts:
    1. Organized visit to the Serbian enclaves
    2. Kosovo security panel discussion and the possibility of the introduction of emergency telecommunications service
    3. Celebration with a fashion show of hand made embroidery and knitwear - Ethno Network in front of the Gracanica monastery

    Bearing in mind the current situation of Serbian and other non-Albanian population in Kosovo, we believe that this is a good opportunity for you to get to know their daily problems, and to have a first-hand insight as to how they could be best helped.

    When deciding on whether to contribute with your presence to the project, please take into account that you have been given a chance to pay a visit to these people and share for a few days their daily worries. Unfortunately, they do not have this privilege. They are permanently there and you could on that day light a candle of hope for the multiethnic Kosovo that they strive for.

    For those who would like to financially help the project we will have a website where you will be able to:
    - help the project realization (provide logistical support, suggest the invitees and similar)
    - buy the products that around thirty brave women of Business Women Association “Avenija” made in order to survive and remain in Kosovo (hand made knitwear and embroidery, food, wine etc.)
    - provide resources for some of the products to be listed in this website that these women need

    For all of you who would like to come, the Coordination center of Serbia for Kosovo and Metohia
    will provide transportation Belgrade-Gračanica-Belgrade and provide logistic support. A detailed agenda will be subsequently sent. Please confirm your interest and if you have any questions or suggestions about the program, do not hesitate to contact us as soon as possible bearing in mind the short project realization deadline.
