1: English Version:
Dear Forum members, dear friends of Serbia,
I would like to inform you that I have gladly accepted Mr. Christian Zulus’ proposal to become the co-moderator of this forum. There are two main reasons for this: First of all, I LOVE SERBIA and secondly, I sincerely believe in the new moral code and social responsibility that will build and restore the reputational landscape of Serbia in the world.
My approach is sometimes provocative, edgy, questioning, exploratory, and according to others constructive and visionary. I am of the opinion that systematic attention to the slightest positive changes in the Serbian image and orchestrated communication of the same will with time bring the most favourable Serbian characteristics into the public opinion spotlight.
I am 28 years old public relations professional with a Bachelor degree in English language and literature from the Faculty of Philology, Belgrade, and a Master of Business Communications from ESLSCA Business School, Paris. My Master thesis was Re-Branding Serbia and my hobby modeling.
I have traveled extensively in Europe and lived in the last four years in London, Paris and Brussels where I have attended various practical courses and worked as a model, translator and promotion manager in order to finance my studies.
Since July 2005, I have been based in Brussels where I joined forces with a few colleagues and founded two months later the Serbian Institute for Public Diplomacy (SIPD)
http://www.serbianinstitute.org. The main activities of SIPD include: Public Affairs, Economy & Business Promotion, Tourism & Culture Promotion and Diaspora Network. The original name of the Institute was the Institute of Serbia & Montenegro. Following the break of the state union of Serbia & Montenegro, a new name was adopted.
Serbian Institute for Public Diplomacy advances the practice of public diplomacy through research, consultation, publications, and professional services.
Located in the heart of Brussels European quarter, in the vicinity of the European Parliament and other European institutions, the Serbian Institute for Public Diplomacy provides press center services, roundtable discussions and briefings, promotional material and serves as an info point, promo center and an analytical service.
SIPD aims to develop Serbian public diplomacy initiatives through its practices and collaborative relationships with other academic and research organizations. To this end, as a quite recent organization, it is seeking to establish cooperative relations with Serbian and foreign government officials, Members of Parliament and their staffs, practitioners in non-governmental organizations, and the media.
SIPD aspires to set the trends in the public dimension of Serbian diplomacy, by learning from the lessons from successes and failures in public diplomacy to the benefit of both the international community and the Republic of Serbia itself.
Serbian Institute for Public Diplomacy has no government connection and receives no financial support from any government source. It has been financed by one of the most active Serbs in the Parisian diaspora – Zoran Milinkovic. SIPD seeks support from foundation grants and corporate gifts.
2: Srpska verzija:
Putovala sam širom Evrope i u poslednje četiri godine živela u Londonu, Parizu i Briselu gde sam pohađala različite treninge i radila kao model, prevodilac i menadžer promocije kako bih finansirala svoje studije.
http://www.serbianinstitute.org. Osnovne aktivnosti SIJD-a obuhvataju: javne poslove, promociju ekonomije i biznisa, promociju turizma i kulture i mrežu dijaspore.
Smešten u srcu Evropske četvrti Brisela, u blizini Evropskog parlamenta i drugih Evropskih institucija, SIJD pruža usluge pres centra, organizuje okrugle stolove i brifinge, i služi kao info point, promo centar i analitički servis.
SIPD traži podršku fondacija i donacije korporativnog sektora.
