  This will higlight those individuals in our industry that really impact the market.
  Whilst our journalists are making the call on who's who, I wanted to ask this group - Who do you think is the most influential person in Shipping?

  I'm curious if this person is in professional networks as LinkedIn or XIng and specially if is active in LinkedIn or XIng... or at least if it is active in the internet.
  For sure I need to invite this person in the "Maritime Group" :-) (+500 members in XIng or +6200 members in LinkedIn)
  ...
  
  It will be interesting to know the criteria applied by the Lloyd's List.
  The definition of "influence" and applicable criteria can be interesting.
  In my opinion probably they should:
  - have a look to the influence in regulation of the industry, in the economy of the industry but also in the public opinion formation... The last one is probably the softest and the newest...
  - assess carefully the growing influence of the East countries as China, India or emerging economics as Brazil...
  
  I think that this is a very good subject to discuss furthermore. ...
