    I am a US Government Affairs Specialist/Consultant. I am interested to identify companies outside the US which own vessels fitted with advanced oil skimming technology -- not commonly available in the US.

    Currently, US maritime law called The Jones Act restricts the opportunity of non US vessels/foreign crew with this type of technology from operating in the Gulf of Mexcio. It is foreseen that the US Government may in the near future allow for temporary waivers to The Jones Act that the best available oil skimming technology could be retained in support of the BP oil spill's clean up.
