"People don't coalesce into active and committed tribes around the status quo. The only vibrant tribes in our communities are the ones closer the edges, or those trying to make change. The center is large, but it's not connected.
If you're trying to build a tribe, a community or a movement, and you want it to be safe and beyond reproach at the same time, you will fail. Heretical thoughts, delivered in a way that capture the attention of the minority - that's the path that works" - Seth Godin

Seth Godin's blog post above brought back to life many original thoughts from the time I started to develop the idea and concept of Synergialaitos.Com (“Synergy Society”) in 1999. It was renamed as SICU (Synergy Integrated - Connects the Unconnected) in 2004, followed by the SICU Synergy Solutions Group (SICU SSG)
Since then I started to build-up a "sicu tribe" - a community of "siculized" professionals who were closer the edges and motivated to make a change and work for mutual benefit.
This ended-up with 38 carefully chosen global partners who are located in major cities around the world. In addition there were about 1 500 members in 2005, as a back-up force, in the SICU SSG's on different networking platforms, and a couple of commercial collaboration partners.
It looked and felt good to start with, but practically to get these global partners activated and to become committed is an entirely other question.
Only a minority of the heretic partners remained active in this unconventional virtual organization, though not exactly in concrete.
SICU's aim is to initiate affiliated organizations and individual professional experts around the world providing them with awareness and exchange in an exiting global structure namely its resources, networ5ks, group forums, guidelines, learning's and blue prints.
This approach enables affiliated organizations to interconnect "glocally" (Think global, act local), build trust and cooperate between all professionals involved in order to mobilise society which support the 8 columns of creativity, innovation, multilateral marketing communication, art, culture, freedom, (corporate-) social responsibility and education.
SICU searches for and sews up 'read threads' in order to connect organisations, various projects and events each of which display a similar set of values, objectives, and target groups together.
SICU SSG concentrates on future changes, new ideas, creating, developing and putting into practise divergent pro-operations and multilateral marketing programs.
The major objective is to support each global partner to build-up their own local, regional or national organisations, and even more so to solve problems of the single client. If you are interested to build-up your own "glocal" SICU SSG, Connect-to-Tom-to-be-Connected.
A last quote
A smart employer recruit friends. Friends use even their leisure time to develop their working place and organization. A friend as a workmate increase work effectiveness, and is the best supporter.
