    Ski/Snowboard spots near Geneva, Switzerland
    Hi all,

    With the Skiing season being only weeks away I wanted to inform myself about where the best locations for skiing/snowboarding are near Geneva, Switzerland? (within 1-2 hours drive).
    Would be great if you could share some good locations as I just recently (this summer) moved to Geneva.
    Also, when do most of these spots open for business (should be soon, right)?

    Lastly, if somebody could recommend a good english speaking snowboarding school at which I could enroll my fiancee for a weekend, I would highly appreciate it.

    I think Laas is a great area for skiing. Wonderful mountains and good hotels. I prefer "The Rocks" or "Riders Palace". I´ll hope you´ll enjoy skiing there!

    surely you mean laaX ;-)
    but at least this resort is more than 4h away from geneva (and it`s overrated and expensive)!
    if you wanted to know which resort is close to your destination, what are the ticket prices, snow situations, places to stay than check http://www.rideguide.ch
