    Release & Integration Manager, Berlin, Leading Mobile Telco
    Release and Error Manager is required by my client a multinational mobile telecommunications organization within the R+D department in providing software for location based information services for mobile devices. As part of the Map Enabler team, you will be working on the newest location based services for my client's devices.

    Your mission within the Map Enabler team is to deliver clearly defined SW releases in a smooth and timely manner by planning proactively, continuously improving efficiency.
    You will be responsible for managing the error back-log of our different products using our error database system, helping our development team with error investigation and providing information and metrics concerning the current error situation.
    Your responsibilities will also include prioritizing and analyzing errors and working together on error management with the product management and development teams as well as our customer organizations. You are also expected to actively define and implement improvements in our error management process.


    Main Responsibility:


    • In this position, you will work with Integration and Release specialists to deliver highest quality product software to the internal and external customers.
    • Plan SW Release activities, by coordinating with stakeholders and interfacing locally and globally.
    • Manage SW Release content using tools and keeping close communication with stakeholders, identifying the risks and create risk mitigation plan
    • Releasing SW for the different release channels for the customers.
    • Define and drive SW Release Process locally and align with global process as and when applicable.
    • Evaluate new tools, processes and strive for building competence in the area of Build and integration.

    Mandatory Skills/Knowledge/Experience:

    • B.Sc or equivalent degree in Software Engineering or similar field is required.
    • 5 or more years of work experience in SW build, release, configuration management on Unix/ Linux platform.
    • Project management skills for planning and coordination.
    • Experience with debugging/tracing tools
    • Experience with S60 and Linux platforms
    • Experience with SW version control tools like CM Synergy and SW build/CM experience, SVN tortoise.
    • Familiar with XML, Perl and Python
    • Ability and drive to learn and to work with new technologies
    • Enjoy working independently with little supervision
    • Having good presentation skills.
    • Good communication and teamwork skills
    • Good command on written and spoken English.
