Systems are the base on top of which new collaboration architectures can be built.
Systems contain many technological bricks, e.g. networks like the Internet, open database architectures, IT architectures like the GRID (Global Resource Identifier, distributed computing network) security systems using encryption with VPN (virtual private networks) and TAN (trans-action number), VoiP (voice over internet protocol) etc.
We'll discuss advantages, obstacled and disadvantages of present systems used for today's collaborations.
Our goal is to find new system architectures that suite best for the new collaboration architecture of the future.

The threats of todays and tomorrows systems will be the security. While security is a must, it also can be an obstacle from the usability point of view and from the cost versus benefit perspective.
The goal of this forum is to discuss a proper trade-off for having reasonable security benefits at affordable prices as well as user friendlyness for the future new collaboration architectures.
