Broadly speaking Facebook is the better product. More user friendly, and more important more to do on it. I bet users spend much more time on Face book, than they the alike user does on LinkedIn. Interesting point though LinkedIn is the only one that is cash positive compared to Facebook.

I suggest that, in time, all social networking sites will converge on a common core model. It's not possible to divide cleanly between "business" and "social" I've recently started using FB more because it has better personal discussion facilities than Xing. LinkedIn Q&A is also an attractive and useful facility.
