Planning to visit South Africa
Here is a travel tip for everyone planning to visit SA and the Western Cape:

If you are interested to leave the mainstream such as Cape Town, Stellenbosch (Winelands), Garden Route and so on, explore the most beautiful surroundings of Cape Town as well as the inward route for an authentic african experience.

Only an hour away from Cape Town on your way to the Garden Route and Hermanus, is the most beautiful Elgin Valley with two Nature Reserves (Hottentots Holland and the UNESCO protected Kogelberg). These are the hotspots for activities and adventures such as hiking, mountainbiking, quad trips through the floral kingdom with its unique species that aren't to be found anywhere else in the world. If you are interested in birding, this is THE place to be. A route (the Overberg Birding Route) has been established starting at the Sir Lowry's Pass.

The Overberg region is offering a true experience as it is relatively unknown yet to most tourists (other than Hermanus) and allows you to see the small places and experience history, arts, craft & culture, combined with gourmet food & world class wines, top golf estates and a true nature paradise. thanks for the advice Sasha, I will visit the Western Cape in December, and fefinitely I will make that trip, some of it I did last year and its very beautifull as you say.

Can recomend me more excursions arround Paarl?
