    Who Are Bette Baths?
    Who Are Bette Baths?
Bette are a German company. Established in 1952 Bette Baths is one of the leading names in state of the art steel/enamel technology being one of the three main manufacturers of this technology in Europe. Bette continues to develop their basic technologies and the breadth of the application of those technologies within the bathroom industry. Including their new range of showering Injection molding whirlpool components whirlpool parts led spa light bathtub components hot tub parts products Bette now produce around 500 different models.
    Steel Baths
Panel-in non freestanding baths are most often made from acrylic. Where good quality acrylic used this is a perfectly good solution. Although some people do not like acrylic because they consider it to be plastic, very similar materials are used on very high end prestige products such as top of the range sports car bodies and so thinking of it as cheap and plastic may not always be a fair characterisation of it. However if you want this kind of bath but you want something a cut above quality-wise, better in terms of both materials and construction, with a long life, tough, with a luxury look, touch and feel then there is an alternative. This alternative is steel and enamel. Bette use a titanium steel, a highly ductile alloy, that is formed into the 2.5mm thick 'Super Steel' that is the basis of Bette's main ranges of baths.
    Vitreous Enamel Surface
The vitreous enamel coating that is permanently bonded to the steel body of a Bette bath is a type of glass. The thinner and more evenly the glass can be applied to the surface, the more stable it becomes. Over years of development Bette have designed an exclusive process that achieves a maximum level of quality with a minimum level of glaze - which means no scratches, no chipping and no problems with strong cleaning products or other aggressive agents. Vitreous enamel has none of the plastic-like qualities of acrylic and will not stain or discolour in sunlight like stone cast resin. It will not corrode but is fully recyclable.
Bette - Huge Range of Standard Baths
Bette manufacture a huge range of baths with well over 60 basic models, each of these models may be available in a number of sizes (for example the Bette Form is available in 12 sizes from 140 x 70 to 190 x 80cm) and may have many optional extras including anti slip surfaces, hand grips, tap holes and the Bette glaze premium finish. In addition baths are available in over 1000 different colours, many of these at relatively low extra cost. The range of baths available is matched by a range of prices varying from around the £200 mark to several thousand pounds. This means that even in a modestly budgeted bathroom it is possible to have one of these baths of extra special quality.
Bette - Small Range of Freestanding Baths
Bette also uses the same steel and enamel technology to manufacture a small selection of freestanding baths. The Bette Clou is a double ended freestanding bath on feet, available in 3 sizes and suited to either a traditional or contemporary setting. The Bette Combo is a contemporary double ended bath that stands on a chrome frame. Finally the Bette Roma is a classic single ended freestanding bath which also available as a built in version.
Cool New Bath Stuff by Bette
Bette also do a few really neat and chic bathroom extras, For example the Bette spring tap can be fitted to the Bette baths with 90mm wastes, it fills the bath from the waste with water bubbling up as if from a spring. Its also much quieter than the usual kind of bath tap. Also the Bette Gerberit Clou invisible waste operates by emptying through a hidden duct coming from around the waste, the result is a bath with no separate overflow hole but that cannot be filled to closer than 60mm from the top edge of the bath. Fantastic bits of kit for the most contemporary minimalist bathrooms.
