  On the death of Pina Bausch

  Another great loss to German theatre and dance worldwide. Pina Bausch died barely two weeks after presenting her latest work for the first time and only five days after she was diagnosed with cancer.
  
  I've always loved her work and knowing that nothing else will follow truely darkens my artistic spirits.
  
  The way she worked, the movement and images she created, the way she always was resolutely within this world and within her own unique universe at the same time and her incredible work ethic are qualities that leave a profound imprint on my artistic practices.
  
  She will surely be missed by many in the field - although our loss is nothing compared to the loss her family experiences right now.
  
  For all of you near and far: Go and she her works as they come by and honour a great artist.
