Hello all,
As a new member to the forum and a professional public speaking trainer, I will jump right in with a public speaking tip for networkers:
When you speak to a group about what you do, most people will appear to listen, but they will really be thinking of other things. How do you ensure that they listen to your message? One solution is to wrap your message into a story. Three things to keep in mind:
1) The story must be relevant to the service or good you provide.
2) The story should either be humorous or have a conflict
3) In the end, you should look like an expert who triumphed

Always remember, if they are entertained they will be happy to be educated about what you do.
Best,
Frank Damelio
