Presenters: Dirk Husfeld, Kai Gabriele Krüger
Abstract
--------
One of the best ways to become a better communicator and a
better leader is to learn from more experienced Toastmasters.
This view is widely accepted and thus the idea of mentoring
is met with sympathy everywhere. Still, it is our impression
that the frequency of well established mentoring programs in
our clubs can be improved on by showing their full benefits.
Dirk Husfeld and Kai Krüger will present an entertaining
demonstration of how new club members, experienced Toastmasters,
and their entire club alike will profit from mentoring. You
should expect lots of invitations for brainstorming, fun and
background information. This workshop is a valuable resource
for anyone who cares for his or her Toastmaster club's
environment and own personal development.
And if you are a practitioner in mentoring, please come to
this session, too, and share your experience with all of us.
It is our aim to motivate everyone to take the mentoring
program to their club and make it a success there.
Biography
---------
Dirk Husfeld joined Toastmasters more than 11 years ago and
held many different offices at club and district level,
including the post of District Governor during the first year
of District 59. Much of this personal progress he attributes
to having had two of the most inspiring Toastmasters in this
District as his mentors since the very start. In his
professional life, Dirk is leading the technical sales team
of a medium-sized company in Germany. One of his tasks at
the office: Mentoring the young members of this team.
Kai Gabriele Krüger (ACB,CL) is a member of the clubs "Munich
Business Speakers" and "Ceterum Censeo" in Munich. She
joined Toastmasters in 2004. From the beginning, Kai was
eager to learn -- as a mentee and since earning the CTM as
a mentor. Professionally, Kai works in the field of project
management and corporate communication (

more information at page
