We have decided to purchase a beamer for our clubs in Vienna (will be shared in between 2 Clubs). We already have a handycam and record all speeches (everyone gets a private dvd-copy and we upload them also, if requested, to the internet), but there has been an increasing demand for getting a beamer, as many of our members would like to prepare professional Powepoint Presentations in our club meetings.
So we will buy a beamer...
Does anyone know, what is the best beamer for this purpose in the market. We didnt find any reliable test results in the internet. Maybe our fellow Clubs have made some good experiences with beamer XYZ. The max price we are ready to pay is around 1000,- (+/-200)
Thanks in advance and best, Niko

Again, not knowing the answer does not keep me from replying, Niko ;)
So here my partial knowledge:
- Pay attention to the lightbulbs the beamer uses: These break frequently and can be very expensive. So rather buy a beamer that is a little more expensive, but has inexpensive, robust lightbulbs.

http://www.heise.de/preisvergleich/at/?cat=beam is a good price comparison.
