    Lacroix Starts Production in Türkiye
The Lacroix Group, a French food package producer, has begun production in the organized industrial zone in Salihli in Manisa, a western city in Türkiye.

Now that the factory’s construction, which began March 17 on an enclosed area of 2,000 square meters, has been completed, the company has started production.

Lacroix, which has plants in the United States, Germany, Belgium, Russia, Algeria and Canada, will produce wooden, cardboard and plastic food packing products in Salihli. The first unit to start production was the cardboard packing unit.

Other units will begin operating next year, said Cevdet Eren, manager of the Salihli industrial zone. “The Lacroix Group is the second foreign company to launch a manufacturing facility in our industrial zone after Zumdieck Preserves and Frozen Food, a leading German company in the food industry,” Eren said. “We believe that Lacroix will contribute greatly to our region.”

The number of firms producing in the Salihli organized industrial zone has increased to 24 with Lacroix. But five companies have ceased production due to various reasons, he said.

“Baloğlu Gıda, Umut Gıda and Okyap Construction have started constructing additional facilities in our industrial zone,” Eren said. “Furthermore, Salihli Demter, Mey-Ze and As Group have chosen to start operating in the zone. These companies will begin construction early next year.”
