Interaction Designers at LUNAR Europe define how products behave and how people will use them. Working closely with industrial designers, engineers, and visual designers, you will design product behaviors from concept down to the last pixel. Our interaction designers participate in user research, discern user needs, and develop and communicate interaction models. At LUNAR Europe, you have the opportunity to use your skills on a variety of products, from software applications to interfaces in consumer electronics to medical equipment.
About You
You have worked for an international team or design consultancy and have 6-8 years experience in a related position designing physical interactive products, software tools and/or web applications which has given you a sense of vision, strategy, and a strong and unique point of view.
A Bachelor degree in Design or related field or advanced degrees are a bonus, especially in the field of Interaction Design.
You are comfortable interacting with and presenting to clients, and are able to establish both design directions and solutions. On the business side you have the experience presenting and selling Interaction Design capabilities to clients as well as preparing related project plans and proposals. Further you bring excellent contacts within the industry to peers and potential clients.
You know how to break down a problem and develop solutions. You’re serious about design, yet don’t take yourself too seriously. You also have more than just a resume to show us: you’ve put together a portfolio that exemplifies the essence of your passion for design. You are creative, passionate, and unwilling to compromise your drive to create stunning design solutions.
Responsibilities
- Assist in business development, growing Interaction Design as part of our service offerings
- Cover project requirements gathering activities, workshops, and product definition exercises and creating proposals
- Develop interaction models that meet user needs
- Develop interaction design via wireframes, use cases and visual design concepts of the highest quality and precision
- Create graphic assets, detailed screen layouts, flows, design specifications, style guides and manuals
- Create and oversee production of interactive prototypes
- Start building the Munich studio Interaction / Interface Design team
Specific Skills
- Able to work alone or be part of team
- Able to manage clients and facilitate decision making
- Exeptional visual design skills, with an emphasis on creating UI graphics and layouts
- Ability to create Flash animations and code in Actionscript
- Proficient in known design tools (e.g.: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Flash, Fireworks, Dreamweaver, etc.)
- Skilled communicator - fluent in German and English
