    ( I Feel) The reason Gandhi was able to get freedom due to non violence was due majority being Vegetarian & the Strong Beliefs or Positive thoughts.

    I have also experimented & found change of thoughts if meating non veg. becasue when the animal is killed he has some thoughts & constant fear they posses ( nature cycle ) are brought into human mind. as it surely affects the food & thoughts what / while v eat.

    It is the duty of human who own such meat business or doctors who are either ignorant of the truth ( Vegetarian has everything) or being paid to promote such for living.

    However if one lives for soul then nothing more is needed but if given more importance to body for power or beauty then may b meat / sea food might bring addtional benefits ( as it is thought to be here & other countries).

    I feel it is utmost importance of couple to plan ( thoughts & action ) to arrange / create the enviorenment to bring up child. as child is result of love & it will make us happy if v r able to provide them right upbringing.

    yes they are very pure & if in begining they are not provided meat & shown beautiful pictures / movies about animal kingdom & when they are able to understand to be explained about the good qualities of vegetarian, i m sure they will again turn veg even if they try due to circumstance or freedom or force.

    would request to read book of gandhi ( experiment with truth - where in fact he was also inspired by british authors of veg books ). also about Jain culture ( not religion ) as they too have done good research on food. Finaly Vegan who also studied about milk.

    I am lucky that our library nearby has a copy. I'll pick it up and will see what's inside.
    Does he cover 'raising children' or is it more about non-violence and politicks? Does he promote vegetarianism?

    yes he has mentioned how he raised his children & about his wife, who too refused to take medicine with beef content in it.

    "Intent of reading is a means to access another aspect within self to embrace & learning the many fragments of this life within". :-)
