  Ward praises Robins

  Cheltenham Town boss John Ward has defended his side's defensive tactics in the 1-0 weekend defeat at Carlisle United.
  
  The Robins were beaten by a last-minute Danny Livesey strike at Brunton Park, with Ward feeling his players had stuck to their task well.
  
  He told the Western Daily Press: "A point would have been a terrific result. It was harsh to concede an injury-time goal and the Carlisle fans, instead of wanting to lynch their players, ended up applauding them off.
  
  "We didn't trouble their keeper enough to have a claim on winning the game, but we certainly made life very difficult for Carlisle.
  
  "The effort, discipline, the work put in and the reaction to what I asked them to do was absolutely spot on.
  
  "We're going to have to dig in against a lot of big clubs, but I've no problem with the players' attitude
