Born and raised in The Netherlands, I now live and work on the East Coast of the U.S. (between Philadelphia and New York).
I have been recording my own voice since my parents gave me a portable cassette recorder at the age of five. At seventeen, I was hand-picked to produce and present youth programs for Dutch radio and television. This was the start of a career in broadcasting which eventually led me to the BBC and Radio Netherlands Worldwide.
Using my media experience, I also became a media trainer, teaching terrified CEO’s to relax in front of the camera and not to be intimidated by unexpected questions. My main tactic was to intimidate CEO's by asking them unexpected questions.
I moved to the United States at the end of 1999, to take my coaching and media career into the new millennium. There I discovered a largely untapped market for European voice-over talent. Now, companies like Bose, Deloitte and Novartis hire me to take on projects in Dutch, German and in English.
Writing is another passion of mine. Within a year, my "Double Dutch" blog has become one of the most widely read blogs in the voice-over community:

I also head the International Department at Internet Voice Coach:

Thanks for opening the doors of your group to me. I look forward to many meaningful discussions!
