---(not a XING member)A very special wine from the Lake of Garda!
Hi to everybody!
I am a manager of several wine funds, two of them investing only in Italy. Due to that fact and our work - I do not know why - every now and then we find a really interesting wine.
Let me introduce one of my actual favorites: LEUTERI 2001, Az.Agr. La Ca'. It is a cuvèe from the cabernet sauvignon, merlot, petit verdot and barbera - the last two grapes are very unusual in the area of the Lake of Garda. Matured in barrique (french oak), LEUTERI is to me one of the Italien wines with the best price-quality-ratio: € 8,50 per bottle.
Another nice one (winner of the Top Wine 2005) from the same winery: Merlot 2003, also matured in barrique. € 6,50.
But be aware: The German wine journal "weinwelt" like LEUTERI a lot. They gave it 4 stars, which is similar to 90-95 Parker points or let's say: an international Top-Wine.
If you like some information, just give me a hint. They have also a small distribution company, write to info@donna-cristina.com.
Have fun,
Giorgio Karhausen
