Long Island Vineyards
Last year I discovered the Long Island Wine Region, just before it was officially designated as such by Gov. Pataki, and I really liked some of the wines being produced there. Many of the vineyards have tables and chairs outdoors for a picknick and wine sampling. My favorite is Pugliese Vineyards in Cutchogue. I just love the little pond that they have next to the tasting room.

For the wine I like Pellegrini Vineyards the best.

I am curious if other folks have discovered this area too and what their favorite wineries and wines are. Perhaps an openBC wine tasting tour could be arranged?
