  It’s logout time. You are permitted to get out and cast your vote on poll day - this was the email that was sent to software engineers and call centre employees in different companies by the managements. It will mean a short break for those who spend their working hours staring at computer screens, especially those in IT and IT-enabled services companies when they punch buttons on EVMs on Thursday.
  
  Some companies have said ‘yes’ to employees coming late by two hours or permitting them to leave office early by two hours, while others suggest taking optional leave. Awareness campaigns were also conducted, explaining the importance of each vote. We are also organizing another such programme for those working in government and private sector on Tuesday,” explains Election Watch, AP convenor M. Veda Kumar.
