    Greetings from Belgium
    Dear all,

    I have just registered for this group and look forward to meet interesting people.
    I am originally from Germany, but since October 2007 I am working in Belgium, when I was appointed as a professor of finance at Ghent University. However, I really live in Belgium only since August 2008, when my wife also moved here (she is going to look for a job..). Now we are looking out for interesting people to meet and share experiences. Hope there will be many!

    Thanks for the warm welcome (although I am not completely new). I am sure your service is highly appreciated. Fortunately I have now done most of the administrative stuff.

    Yes, I know (although not very well) Sophie Manigart, as she is also affiliated to the Accountancy and Corporate Finance department at UGent (I am in the Financial Economics department).
