About me
1999-2002 employed by Icon Medialab in Hamburg as part of the management team for Germany, acting as project manager for intranet and extranet development with a high degree of customer engagement serving British and American clients in the advertising and sports marketing industries. My creative skills as PHP programmer, Oracle, Informix, MySQL database designer and administrator in addition to design of the systems architecture and user interface functionality were also required.
1995-99 permanent move to Hamburg, Germany, initially various German language acquisition activities, such as English teaching and German translation, books and music selling businesses. Later development e-commerce and online social networking, programming with PHP and MySQL.
1975-94 London: various employments, freelancing and management roles as systems architect and project manager and IT programmer for logistics, accounting and commodity trading and office workflow systems for the ADAM operating system on PDP-11 and with migrations to C-based software under Netware.
1969-74 Studied Computer Science and subsequently worked for London University and the Technical University of Hanover as a scientific programmer for compiler, communications and graphics pioneering projects on CDC Cyber supercomputer mainframes.
