Alex has been working in management and strategy consulting since 1990, when he founded THINK NETWORK for his national and international clients. Until 1997 he worked primarily in the fields of network and IT services, developing new infrastructure concepts or individual applications. In 1997 he co-founded the company Think Connection, as managing director for marketing, sales and the network infrastructure team. He sold out his shares in preparation for its integra-tion into Epsilus GmbH in 2004. He is predominantly working for companies in the information technology sector as corporate consultant and project manager since.
 
As a core team member of the open source project Joomla! Alex uses his experience to guide new developers and other volunteers. In his role as marketing and events coordinator he is in charge for the worldwide representation of the project in the media or on business or community conferences. Alex wrote one of the developer books about the Joomla! framework that is published by Addison Wesley. His goal for the project is to reach out and encourage people to work in the social environment of the project. In exchanges he gains a very in-side picture of the needs and drivers of people and corporations using one of the leading CMS solutions in the world.
