Beginning her career in Chennia, India, Dr. Narasimhan earned her MD from Ramachandra Medical College. Dr. Narasimhan then decided to make the transition from India to the United States by attending residency training in adult psychiatry at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina. After completing her residency, Narasimhan took up fellowship training in child and adult psychiatry at the University of California at Los Angeles. Today, Dr. Narasimhan is a Board Certified Physician, accredited by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. She currently holds three very prestigious positions in Los Angeles. She not only maintains her own private practice in Westwood, but also serves as a clinical instructor at Cedars Sinai Medical Center, while also serving as a child and adolescent psychiatrist for Aviva Family and Children’s Services, a nonprofit organization that provides care and treatment to abandoned, neglected, abused and at-risk youth. This organization provides multi service treatments for children and families seeking help. Dr. Narasimhan also maintains a leadership position in numerous philanthropy organizations. She is the community service director for the Indian Professionals Group, and is a member of the American Association of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
