About me

As an entrepreneur and Chief Executive Officer of Pinchit, Aneel Ranadive laid the foundations for his current career in the San Francisco Bay area start-up scene with an education in mathematics and early work in the finance industry. After graduating from Columbia University with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics in 2006, Aneel Ranadive joined the securities division of Bank of America as an Investment Banking Analyst. In this position, he generated complex financial and valuation models and performed in-depth analysis of private and public companies in the technology, telecommunications, and media sectors.

In 2007, Aneel Ranadive began his first entrepreneurial endeavor by founding BoredAt, Inc., a social network designed to allow users to post anonymously. With the goal of creating a forum for the free and honest sharing of ideas and opinions, BoredAt, Inc., offered an anonymous real-time communication platform and rating system for employees at a wide range of companies, organizations, and schools. Through Ranadive’s platform, users could provide feedback on policies and offer suggestions for improvement. Enjoying early rapid growth with his first start-up company, Ranadive successfully raised approximately $1.25 million from angel investors and venture capital firms.

Two years after closing the doors at BoredAt, Inc., Aneel Ranadive made another splash in the California tech world with Pinchit.com. Founded on the belief that locals know best when it comes to the finest activities, restaurants, and shopping experiences in their cities, Pinchit serves as a forum for individuals to post reviews of local venues and offer recommendations for outings and events.
