About me

Director and co-founder of the Spain & Portugal division of STAT-UP Statistical Consulting & Services.

MSc & BSc in Physics and Diploma in Economics and Business Administration from the Georg-August-Universität Göttingen (Germany) and Master in Mathematical Engineering from the Universität Complutense in Madrid (Spain). He has been based in Madrid since 1995 working in dynamic and international environments, in areas such as IT-, technical, mathematical and statistical consulting as well as in design and sales of complex IT-systems and solutions. Besides his mother tongue German, he is bilingual in Spanish, speaks an excellent English, and has a reasonable command of both French and Portuguese.

1996-1997 Grant "Natural Disasters Reduction" of the UN and MAPFRE Foundation: Research Project carried out at Principia-EQE (Madrid) and EQE International (UK). Finished with the publication "Hazard of Hurricanes in the Caribbean. Temporal Variation of the Activity in the Atlantic Basin." (In Spanish) MAPFRE, Mimeo, Madrid. Selected by the UN as one of the best studies within the programme.

1995-1996 Grant "Leonardo da Vinci" of the EU: Work experience at Principia-EQE (Madrid): Development of seismic engineering software.

1995 Thesis "Stationary Measurement of Thermomigration in the a-Phase of Binary Copper-alloys with Elements of the Chemical Group III A." (In German) Institute of Material Physics, Georg-August-Universität Göttingen.
