About me

Asvin Goel is Associate Professor of International Logistics at the Jacobs University Bremen and serves as Adjunct Professor of Supply Chain Management at the Zaragoza Logistics Center. His current research interests include Operations Research, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, and Combinatorial Optimisation. Asvin was Visiting Researcher at the Centre Interuniversitaire de Recherche sur les Réseaux d'Entreprise, la Logistique et le Transport (CIRRELT) in Montréal, Canada and the National ICT Australia (NICTA) in Sydney, Australia. He worked several years as an independent consultant and software developer for the motor carrier industry and was principle investigator in a joint research project conducted by the MIT Center for Transport and Logistics, the Zaragoza Logistics Center, DHL Exel Supply Chain and Deutsche Post World Net.

Asvin Goel received his doctorate degree (Dr. rer. nat.) from the University of Leipzig, Germany. He is author of the book Fleet Telematics: Real-Time Management and Planning of Commercial Vehicle Operations. His research findings are published in leading scientific journals such as Transportation Science and European Journal of Operational Research.
