About me
I am a geek. I am a product guy. I love understanding customer problems, challenges and opportunities and build a product supporting those customers and finally to help the customer to get the product implemented and getting the benefits out of that.
Since this is a product and is not intended to be a project, I am also all about sales and marketing.
I love to work with a great team to make our customers successful.
What have I done in the past?
In 1997 I founded a company called cataloom which developed and marketed a PIM (Product Information Management) product. In 2000 the company got backed by a VC. We successfully implemented that at big companys in the healthcare, chemical and CPG industry. Even marketplaces where using our solution.
In 2004 I sold the company to PIRONET NDH, a germany based, public software company. The PIM became the base technology of all SINFOS and later on SA2 Worldsync datapools and it was successfully positioned as the MDM (Master Data Management) solution for the Retail Industry.
Today more than 7,500 companies are using this PIM technology, either in a SaaS model (via their usage of one of the SA2 Worldsync’s datapools) or as a “behind-the-firewall” solution.
So literally I am dealing with Product Information Management and Master Data Management since 1997 and I have seen reams of customers and their master data management projects. And hopefully I have helped some of them.
What am I doing right now?
By the end of 2011 I started again my own business. This is a Consulting business where we are helping our customers in the areas of Master Data Management (MDM), Product Information Management and Data Quality Management. We are doing program management, project management, consulting and even implementation.
