About me
NetWeaving is all about building meaningful relationships with people by learning how to be a better 'connector' OF others; as well as being a no-strings-attached 'resource-provider' FOR others. . .and doing both simply because you genuinely believe that, 'what goes around, DOES come back around'.
And after you have helped someone and he or she, wants to repay the favor, instead you first ask them to do what you've done and connect or help two other people. That's why with permission of Catherine Ryan Hyde, the author of the book on which the popular movie is based, NetWeaving is now known as the BUSINESS version of Pay It Forward. And don't worry, in most cases even when you suggest that instead of doing something to benefit you, you instead challenge the person or persons you've help to 'pay it forward, they will still come back and say, "OK we'll do that but seriously, how can we help you?"
And unlike a lot of philosophies which sound great in theory. . .but are difficult to put into everyday practice, NetWeaving has learnable skill sets and strategies that allow persons who were already naturals at it, to do 10 times more, and those who sincerely enjoy helping others, to build more NetWeaving actitivities into their daily routine.
Thanks to Xerox Global Services who prints my self-published book, "The Heart and Art of NetWeaving" (Arthur Blank - co-founder of Home Depot as the front cover testimonial and my good friend, Jeffrey Gitomer as testimonial on the back), 100% of the $20 from the sale of my book goes to charity.
And the most inspiring part of my whole NetWeaving journey to date has been how the concept has 'morphed' - starting with sales & marketing, and then spreading to those involved in Human Resources and Customer Service inside larger companies; then I discovered great applications of the concept for those involved in a job search; then for helping non-profits - both in raising funds as well as helping high profile board members learn a comfortable way to get their friends involved in the charity's mission; and finally in education and ecomonic development.
