Über mich

Brando Cimarosti è laureato in Scienze della Comunicazione presso la Facoltà di Lettere e Filosofia di Torino e diplomato in fotografia all’Istituto Europeo di Design. La sua carriera professionale inizia nel 1990 come assistente nello studio del fotografo milanese Paolo Sacchi e prosegue attraverso svariate collaborazioni con i fotografi Franco Capra, Maria Vittoria Corradi-Backhaus, Studio Quintet e Settimio Benedusi. Sviluppata una notevole esperienza nel campo della fotografia pubblicitaria e redazionale, nel 1995 intraprende l’attività di fotografo free-lance e realizza diversi reportages per le riviste Sportwear, Sport&Street, Io Donna ed alcuni cataloghi pubblicitari (Pal Zileri e Cini&Nils). Nel frattempo collabora con le agenzie d’archivio Granata Press e Aura Photo Agency, entrambe di Milano. Nel 2000 prende parte alla mostra fotografica collettiva “Festa della Musica” commissionata dall’agenzia Franca Speranza in cooperazione con il comune di Milano. Nel 2001, partecipa al progetto del catalogo “Cinquant’anni di design” per la Triennale di Milano. Dal 2003 al 2004, realizza diversi reportages sui trends e le tendenze milanesi per conto delle agenzie pubblicitarie internazionali Ogilvy&Mather e LOWE Worldwide. Nel 2004 inizia la collaborazione con la rivista di arredamento Bravacasa e contemporaneamente con l’agenzia fotogiornalistica Photo Masi di Milano (alla quale fornisce materiali d’archivio e nuovi servizi fotografici). Nel 2006, con il patrocinio della Regione Toscana e della Provincia di Siena, partecipa al progetto di integrazione PortoFranco (esperienze di integrazione multiculturale attraverso lo sport del calcio). Da questo progetto nasce il libro “Un calcio alla barriera”. Attualmente svolge la professione di fotografo free-lance e realizza servizi redazionali per alcune tra le principali riviste italiane femminili e di arredamento (Casaviva, Bravacasa, D La Repubblica delle Donne, Spazio Casa, Casa D, Casa Facile, Anna e Grazia).

Brando Cimarosti has graduated in Sciences of the Communications at The Turin Faculty of Letter and Philosophy, and has got a degree in photography at the European Institute of Design. His professional career begins in 1990 as an assistant to photographer Paolo Sacchi and continues through different collaborations with the photographers Franco Capra, Maria Vittoria Corradi-Backhaus, Studio Quintet and Settimio Benedusi. After developing a good experience in the area of the advertising and editorial photography, in 1995 he becomes a free-lance photographer and realizes many reportages for Italian magazines as Sportwear, Sport&Street, Io Donna, and some advertising catalogues (Pal Zileri and Cini&Nils). In the meantime he works with the photo-agencies Granata Press and Aura Photo Agency, both based in Milan. In 2000 he takes part to the collective photographic exhibition "Festa della Musica" commissioned by Franca Speranza agency in cooperation with the Milan Town Council. In 2001, he participates to the project "Fifty years of design" with a catalogue for the Triennale of Milan. From 2003 to 2004, he realizes various reportages on trends and Milan tendencies for the international advertising agencies Ogilvy&Mather and LOWE Worldwide. In 2004, at the same time, it begins the collaboration with the interiors magazine Bravacasa and with the photo-agency Photo Masi (to which he supplies photos for the archives and new photographic reportages). In 2006, with the sponsorship of the Tuscany Region and the Province of Siena, he participates to the project called PortoFranco, a multicultural experience through a soccer team, realizing a book “Un calcio alla barriera” and an exhibition. Actually he works as a free-lance photographer and realizes editorials, also travelling abroad, for some of the main Italian feminine and interiors magazines like Casaviva, Bravacasa, D La Repubblica delle Donne, Spazio Casa, Casa D, Anna e Grazia.
