For more than 20 years, oil and natural gas executive Brooks Mims Talton III has devoted his professional life to the development and management of various companies across the United States and Canada. A longtime resident of Oklahoma City, Brooks Mims Talton III attended the University of Oklahoma following graduation from high school. During this educational period, Brooks Mims Talton III pursued a wide range of undergraduate studies at the University of Oklahoma, including Political Science, Energy, and Public Policy. Graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Oklahoma, Brooks Mims Talton III immediately set out to make an impact upon the oil and gas industry in America and abroad. After college, Brooks Mims Talton III worked for two separate firms focused on oil and gas exploration, in which he held responsibilities in the areas of research and development. Between 1989 and 1994, Brooks Mims Talton III drew upon his natural penchant for entrepreneurship and founded three service-oriented companies in the field of natural gas, including Mims Oil Tools, Master Meter LLC, and the Well Link Corporation. Holding the position as President and Chief Executive Officer at each of these firms for the next 10 years, Brooks Mims Talton III accumulated a diverse set of management skills that would prove essential in his future endeavors. Along with a set of experienced investors, Brooks Mims Talton III established Compressco, Inc. in 1999 to provide small-horsepower wellhead compressors to companies in the oil and gas industry. Owing to the strong performance of Compressco, Inc., Brooks Mims Talton III brokered the sale of his company to Tetra Technologies, Inc. in 2004. After selling Compressco, Inc., Brooks Mims Talton III remained at the firm as President for the next four years and ensured its smooth transition into new management. Since then, Brooks Mims Talton III has managed his investment and development firms, BMT Investment Partners, Ltd.; Master Meter, LLC; BMT Capital Corporation; and Classen Square, LLC. Brooks Mims Talton III lives and works in Oklahoma City.
