As the owner of Caroline Ashleigh Associates, LLC, Ms. Caroline Ashleigh is keenly aware of the many complexities that are involved in appraising a piece of fine or decorative art. Providing top of the line appraisal and auction services, Caroline Ashleigh offers estate appraisals, donation appraisals, insurance valuations for damage, marketing consultations, collection management services, archive appraisals, expert witness and litigation support, and equitable distribution and division of property.

Caroline Ashleigh possesses a rich background in the appraisal and auction industry. Commencing her career as a member of the educational department staff at the Detroit Institute of the Arts and the Cranbrook Academy of Art, Caroline Ashleigh became familiar with the values of a broad range of fine art. Today, Caroline Ashleigh is recognized world over as an authority in her field, and has worked as a consultant to CBS News’ Inside Edition, as well as with major museums and auction houses such as Sotheby’s and William Doyle Auctioneers.

Over the course of her professional career, Caroline Ashleigh has been featured in a wide variety of media, including the popular television show, Antiques Roadshow; the New York Times; and Forbes Magazine. Herself an accomplished author, Caroline Ashleigh has contributed articles and features for texts and magazines such as the Antiques Roadshow Collectibles Primer, Art and Antiques Magazine, and both the 43rd and 44th editions of Warman’s Antiques & Collectibles Price Guide. Caroline Ashleigh’s book, Warman’s Field Guide, is due out in 2010.

Caroline Ashleigh matriculated at New York University, where she studied Appraisal Studies in Fine and Decorative Arts. Upon graduation, Caroline Ashleigh pursued further accreditation through certifications as a member of the Appraisers Association of America and as a Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) Appraiser.
