Graduated from MSc Computational Science and Engineering (Passed with Merit) at Munich University of Technology and BEng Materials Engineering (1st Class Honor) at City University of Hong Kong with well academic performance ensure that I am a responsible and proactive student. And various practical experiences in industrial and research fields have strengthened my IT and different engineering knowledge.
 
Working as Software Engineer in w&co MediaServices GmbH for structuring architect of J2EE system with Flex and actionscript includes the tasks for design and development extensible architecture of J2EE system and exchange third party systems information to our main system. Also, mobile applications (iPhone app) for media and dynamic information browsing are developed.
 
Accomplished my master thesis in BMW AG with topic Checkstyle for Legacy Applications, provided me an experience in working at an international enterprise and participating one of their project to establish a list of PL/I coding rules and analyzers, which improves the software quality and detect the fallacy of the PL/I system. Also, an Eclipse Plug-in application called “PL/I Checkstyle Platform” is developed. This platform with highly extensible architecture can allow user to extend PL/I or any other languages analyzers.
 
Working as software developer in itestra GmbH provides me a lot of opportunities to modify and optimize different software systems. It allows me to enrich my knowledge in IT field. Development of contact book application and modification of Recruitment Content Management System have broadened my horizon of software architecture design and different computer language implementation. Also Analysis in different system data model and migration the data between different data model strengthen my data model analysis skill.
 
The internship project in Roland Berger Strategy Consultants (IT department) is about programming in Database System (SQL) and modification of Web Application. Also, doing internships in German Aerospace Center (DLR) has equipped me in programming in C++ and the knowledge in 3D image processing. Various programming experiences in C, C++, java and Matlab are allowed me to learn other new programming languages quickly.
 
Industrial internship in Mass Transit Railway (MTR) Corporation Limited gave me an opportunity to apply my knowledge in conducting failure analysis of a bracket for the rail switching system, providing metallurgical analysis of a thermit-weld and using Algor (finite element analysis software) to simulate the stress on the rail head during operation. My analysis and re-design of the bracket (by using SOLIDWORK) has been accepted by senior management. As a result, CityU gave me the Outstanding Student Award to recognize my contribution to the MTR.
