Christian Betz

Dr. Christian Betz works as Software Architect and Technical Project Lead at Plath GmbH. He is responsible for communication analysis products, driving both technical and organizational matters in the software development.
 
Dr. Betz is also co-founder and CEO of knowIT-Software, developing the expert system toolkit Assist. Christian Betz won the 2004 marketing award in Lower Franconia and the Bavarian foundation scholarship Flügge.
 
Before joining Plath in 2007, Dr. Christian Betz was Senior Software Architect and Project Lead at SinnerSchrader Neue Informatik, a Top-5 German Interactive Agency. Working for their largest customer, he accounted for the major website applications.
 
Christian Betz received his doctorate in 2004 from the University of Würzburg. He worked as a Computer Scientist at the AI Lab, developing both the Expert System and the Intelligent Case-Based Training System, which became the basis for the University's excellence initiative.
 
Dr. Christian Betz has more than ten years of expertise in the development of large-scale software systems, with a special focus to usability, information visualization, and knowledge representation. He also has a track record in agile software development processes.
