About me
My professional
background has mostly revolved around academia where, in the role of a teaching
professional, I have spent years of teaching (face-to-face and online), advising, editing and grading student term papers and
theses as well as conducting research. In addition, I have experience in program
management, marketing, preparing contracts, planning and budgeting, scheduling, data input,
peer review, and recruiting of instructors. I have excellent verbal and written communication skills, bilingual proficiency in English and German, am fluent in French and have solid basic skills in Spanish and Mandarin Chinese. My
computer skills are solid, and I learn new applications quickly. I am very detail-oriented, self-motivated, a creative and independent thinker, and I have very good problem-solving abilities. My level of organization has helped me in all of my appointments to multitask effectively and to work efficiently towards set goals. My intercultural competency and high level of empathy have helped me hone my diplomatic skills to the point that I can comfortably deal with highly challenging situations and people. While taking some time off to raise my children with only
occasional teaching appointments, I have kept up with academic research and
reading at home. At this time, I am looking for a full-time position where my skill set can be of benefit and where I can pursue my passion for languages, learning, and advancing goals as part of a team.
