Über mich

Clemens Hackl spent his early twenties in Düsseldorf, Germany, working for advertising agencies such as BMZ!FCA, BBDO and Ogilvy&Mather while studying Communication Design at the Fachhochschule Düsseldorf. After his graduation in 2001 he moved to London for his MA in "Interactive Multimedia" at the University of the Arts.

In 2003, at the age of 27, he set up his own graphic & media design company and also worked as a creative consultant delivering branding and design, online identities and interactive applications. The following year he was invited to lecture on the subject "Motion Graphics and Design" at the University of Applied Sciences and Technologies in Salzburg, Austria.

Two clients in the early stages have helped to establish Clemens Hackl as a credible designer / art director: a series of projects for the British European Design Group and the brand development for CIEMA including packaging, publications and advertising.

These commissions followed a body of work for UK Trade&Investment supported British product designers and recently the re-branding of the BEDG. With an existing client list covering a variety of sectors including product/industrial design, interior & architecture, leisure, health & beauty and education, Clemens Hackl is now also beginning to grow its international client base, from the United Arab Emirates to the USA.

In 2007 Clemens has won the bid for creating a new corporate identity including packaging and merchandise for the Barbados based health and beauty brand "Earth Mother Botanicals", funded by the European Union.

In September 2009 Clemens Hackl Design was commissioned by the University of the Arts London and Sir John Sorrell, to create an interactive installation at the Victoria & Albert Museum, featuring "Inspired Design from Great Britain".

Other recent projects include work for adidas, SAP and Fujitsu.
