Business Background: Mr. Romescu is IT Director of Hiwave GmbH, Germany's first system house for Mobile Marketing technologies that mainly operate on the basis of Bluetooth®, infrared, WLAN and NFC. With the range of products Hiwave offer, consumers can download content to their mobile phones for free from locally placed proximity networks. Hiwave develops the first proximity marketing network in the o2 Word Arena in Berlin where Digital Signage meets Proximity Marketing. The main attraction of this lounge is the "Blue Window", a video wall consisting of nine seamless 42 inch plasma screens. As entertainment hotspot, and high-quality eye-catcher the Blue Window calls attention to the local mobile content served by Hiwave's Bluetooth transmitter. Top games of renowned publishers like EA mobile, Gameloft, Glu, as well as ringtones and wallpaper by O2 are offered for as Bluetooth downloads. To get content, the PULL method was established.Mr. Romescu was Board Director of Cellixx S.A. , the European leader in mobile software, services and solutions that help people and businesses realize their full potential. Asked about cellixx’s astounding success, Mr. Romescu explained, “Cellixx started developing mobile applications, and has succeeded just by creating Windows CE, Symbian and Java-based software to enhance its customer’s mobility and connectivity. Cellixx develops reliable and flexible software solutions inspired from the business needs of today’s rapidly changing economical and informational environment.” He continued, “Our team of highly skilled software engineers is prepared to design solutions tailored from the needs of your company, efficiently combining the power of web applications with fast, lightweight software applications created for mobile devices. We created a mobile ecosystem based on secure and trusted transaction that give a maximum on reliability for mobile environment”. As Chief Software Architect, Mr. Romescu knows this business inside and out. Since opening, cellixx has grown under his talented direction to encompass 24 employees in three locations. In September 2000 at The Microsoft Partner Congress, when he was chief technology officer of Vision to Reality, Mr. Romescu helped launch—with Compaq, T-Mobile, and Microsoft –“the first Data GPRS Application worldwide.” Still, Mr. Romescu is most proud of (and globally respected for) the Home Zone Project for mm02 plc. Taking the market by storm, the Home Zone Project formed the base of the Genion Leadership Product by mm02. A consummate multicultural business leader, Mr. Romescu speaks Romanian, German, French, Italian and English. Presently, Mr. Romescu is a Partner with Fraunhofer SIT (“Sichere Informations-Technologie”) and DFKI –the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (AI)—with whom he intends “to build a new communication era with the help of artificial intelligence.” Now, Mr. Romescu looks “to give the people a new dimension of the cross media utilities based on secure and trusted transactions and to create a better position on the European and world market for cellixx’s products.”
