Über mich
Previousely, he worked as Executive Director of the Basel Institute on Governance (
http://www.baselgovernance.org). A lawyer by profession, Daniel joined the Federal Office for Police in 1998 to become the first Director of the Swiss FIU after a career in the private sector (banking and insurance). Since 2000, he works as consultant in various anti money-laundering, anti terrorist-financing and anti-corruption projects and technical assistance missions, mainly in the Caribean, Eastern and Central Europe and the CIS countries. He was involved in the set up the FIUs of Switzerland, the Bahamas, Ukraine, Macedonia, Kosovo and other countries. His key expertise includes:- Expert for Anti Money-Laundering, Terrorist Financing and Anti-Corruption Legislation
- Compliance training of Public Officials and financial experts of the private sector
- Set up of Financial Intelligence Units (FIUs)
- Set up of Supervisors for Financial Markets
- Project Management
- Reviews, assessments, legal opinions and evaluations
