About me

I am an American who has lived in Germany since 1999. I formerly resided with my partner Michael Henning in Braunfels with our two dogs, but in 2011, after starting a now successful tour company we bought a dream apartment on the Ostsee and moved to Warnemünde. We travel extensively and enjoy cruising.
 
I run my tour business and keep very busy between May and September with the visiting cruise passengers in Warnemünde. We also offer an annual Christmas Market tour through Germany, an Oktoberfest package at the Wies'n, and an annual cruise. All information can be found at http://www.friendsofdavetours.com
 
In the USA I worked primarily in the travel industry; beginning with my first job at Walt Disney World culminating with my last position as Regional Sales Manager for Costa Cruise Lines in the Carnival Cruise Corporation. I have extensive knowledge of American business practices, social skills and etiquette. Since 2000 I have used that knowledge in my position as an English trainer to enhance the skills and knowledge of my students who work in various companies in the Rhein/Main region.
 
In 2003 I became a self employed trainer and since that time I have had the privelege of working with incredible people at some of Germany's top companies. I have maintained excellent contacts with everyone I have ever taught and I look forward to using XING to keep up that network.
 

Ich bin ein Amerikaner, der seit 1999 in Deutschland lebt. Ich wohne jetzt in Braunfels mit meinem Partner Michael Henning und unseren zwei Hunden. Wir verreisen oft und lieben Kreuzfahrten.
 
In den USA habe ich hauptsächlich in der Reisebranche gearbeitet; angefangen bei Walt Disney World bis hin zu meiner letzten Position als Regionale Sales Manager bei Costa Kreuzfahrten/Carnival Corporation. Ich habe große Kenntnisse in den Bereichen von Amerikanische Geschäftspraktiken und Interpersonelle Fähigkeiten sowie soziale Kompetenz. Seit 2000 nutze ich meine Fähigkeiten und Kenntnisse für meine Trainings mit diversen Kunden in Rhein/Main Gebiet.
