Whichever job title you assign Derrek — project lead, account manager, designer, director — it will wind up feeling inadequate. That’s because Derrek has the talent, work ethic and intellectual curiosity to find solutions wherever they are needed. At 6′ 5″, nothing is out of his reach.
 
Our clients and designers know him as the lead on interactive projects — the guy with the answers. In a world where true listening skills are rare, his ability to hear what clients want inspires trust, confidence and a feeling of partnership. And his innately calm, open mind makes him an excellent sounding board for both creative and business ideas. Bottom line: clients can be sure they’re in safe hands.
 
Inside B’stro, we know Derrek as a specialist — in everything. On an average day, he could be figuring out a smart design solution or guiding the direction of a website; tackling an email campaign or branding exploration; or putting together a print ad, demo video, or flash animation. He’s even the “go-to” guy for all IT concerns.
 
Derrek is one of the few members of B’stro born and raised in the US of A. Although loyal to his native Arkansas, Derrek realized early that the south just might not rise again. So he headed west to San Francisco where he graduated from Academy of Art University with a degree in New Media. But before that, he spent a year traveling around Europe with the incredibly talented photographer, Carmen Holt.
