About me

Radio announcer in 1972 for K.O.L.E Radio in Port Arthur, Texas as 'Ed Williams'.
Studied theater and broadcasting at Lamar University, Beaumont, Texas.

Broadcaster with the Armed Forces Radio and Television Service. Served with the European Broadcasting Squadron at Incirlik (IN-jur-lick) Air Base, Turkey as a television news reporter and weekend news anchor. Worked for Headquarters American Forces Korea Network (AFKN), in Seoul, Korea. Afternoon drive-time radio show, "Rollin' Home" was carried by all six AFKN radio affiliates throughout the Republic of Korea. In Ed Asner's home town of Kansas City, Missouri, Ed Autry's credits include: Article 99 (1992), as the Mumbling Man, shot on location in Kansas City. He also performed in regional television commercials and industrial comedy videos. Because of Ed's amazing 'elastic face', renowned photographer Nick Vedros featured Ed as the subject of his comedic photo, "The Rocketchair" which appeared in many national magazines.

Ed has now launched "Ed Autry Voiceovers.com" and provides voiceover work for radio commercials, television commercials, business and corporate videos, narrations and documentaries, telephone system recordings, and a wide variety of character voices.
