Just two years later, Elaine Hochberg expanded her purview when she accepted the position of Senior Vice President of Marketing.
Elaine Hochberg oversaw the launches of two new antidepressants, Celexa and Lexapro, which are today viewed as two of the most successful product launches in the pharmaceutical industry.
For the next eight years, Elaine Hochberg effectively managed a rapidly expanding product portfolio that took Forest into new therapeutic areas and physician specialties. She led the commercial launches of 8 new products new this period of time. In December 2007, Elaine Hochberg expanded her role to become Chief Commercial Officer (CCO). In her dual capacity as CCO and Senior Vice President of Marketing, Elaine Hochberg directly oversaw the marketing and managed markets sales groups. In recognition of her achievements throughout her tenure with Forest Laboratories Inc., Elaine Hochberg was promoted to an Executive Vice President post in November 2010. She retained her position as Chief Commercial Officer and her sales and marketing oversight duties. Elaine Hochberg’s new responsibilities include guiding the trade and institutional sales groups and the general field sales force.
