Associate Clinical Professor at UBC Faculty of Dentistry, Elaine Lam supervises undergraduate and graduate endodontic students in Vancouver, British Columbia. In 2010, Elaine Lam was awarded a Fourth Year Part Time Teaching Award for her work at this institution. Additionally, Elaine Lam lectured to dentists, professors, and dental students about root canal treatment and provided hands-on clinical instruction in her position as a Health Volunteer for Health Volunteers Association at Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania. Currently, Elaine Lam serves as a Certified Endodontist at Precision Endodontics and Microsurgery. Elaine Lam previously worked as a General Dentist at Dr. Y.M. Inc. Dental Clinic in Vancouver, British Columbia. In this position, she practiced all aspects of general dentistry on children and adults to improve their oral health. Elaine Lam worked with specialists in endodontics, prosthodontics, restorative dentistry, periodontics, orthodontics, pedodontics, and oral surgery while working there. In her position as an Endodontist, Elaine Lam deals with issues concerning tooth pulp and the tissues surrounding the root of a tooth, while also performing a variety of procedures including root canal therapy, endodontic retreatment, surgery, treatments for cracked teeth, and dental trauma repair. Elaine Lam, a native of Vancouver, obtained her Bachelor of Arts at Cornell University in 2001, where she studied Biology. Subsequently, Elaine Lam attended McGill University Faculty of Dentistry, where she earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine in 2005. Upon graduating from dental school, Elaine Lam’s passion for endodontics led her to obtain a Certificate in Endodontics at Temple University in the Graduate Department of Endodontics in 2008. The same year, Elaine Lam became a certified Specialist in Endodontics in British Columbia. Also in 2008, Elaine Lam completed a Fellowship from the Royal College of Dentists of Canada.
