About me
As a former university lecturer I helped students develop critical thinking skills in any field they study, be it psychology, sociology or computer science (you name it).
As a former IBM Center of Advanced Studies Lab. coordinator in the computer science department of Istanbul Bilgi University, I was focused on managing scientific projects that involve intensive data processing, parallel / distributed programming, data mining, machine learning, multi-agent simulation & modeling, semantic web programming and visualization.
Previously as an application developer, database designer, project manager and scientist I worked for a wide variety of applications including but not limited to developing e-learning infrastructure and methodologies, content management systems, data mining and machine learning, data visualization and analysis, natural language processing and technical translation and localizaiton.
As a GNU/Linux instructor for individuals and enterprises I have proposed and translated course material, and worked complying with LPI standards. As a member of Open Source Enterprise Center (OSEC) in Istanbul Bilgi University, I gave trainings in Linux 101 and Linux 102 courses that covered teaching subjects ranging from basic command line skills to advanced text editing, process management, network services configurations, etc.
I'm particularly interested in application of my training, education, IT, management and cognitive science expertise in developing sophisticated systems having a strong R&D side.
I'm open to international and challenging projects which include but not limited to software development and project management (especially on-line community management, e-learning, distant learning, semantic web, data mining and machine learning), software products localization and internationalization and IT training especially in the fields of programming, e-learning, operating systems and applications.
