About me

Head manager of a little software development and computer services company, that offers technical assistance services, custom and branded software, network design and deployment, consulting, training.
I currently direct a few employees and I’m following several projects regarding both Systems/IT and software development. Among the IT projects there is the management of outsourced IT helpdesk of the local head office of a multinational english company that has servers dislocated in many european countries connected through VPN. On the Software development side I am directing a a CRM development project: this software application is written in VB.NET 2005 on SQL Server 2005 and features XML web Services communications and a customized pumps configurator. I am also guiding the revision of an existing software application written in Delphi for the reservations and management of a medium sized chauffeur service / delivery service company. This project is managed trough a Microsoft Office SharePoint Services (MOSS) 2007 Portal that I implemented to allow both the development and the Client teams to monitor the different microprojects progress, manage quotations and offers in EDM, resource planning and helpdesk.
I presently carry out consulting, design and technical assistance activities regarding Windows 2003/2008 servers and their applications (Exchange, SharePoint, IIS, Symantec Ghost Server and Endpoint Protection, MS System Center, etc.),; LAN and WAN Networks; firewall/routers and VPN; security and dister recovery plans.
On the computer programs side, I’ve been Project Manager for three computer programs realized for italian Fashion companies (La Perla, Les Copains, Bruno Magli), that were developed in Delphi, Visual Basic and VB.NET/ASP.NET. I also took part as an analyst/developer to the making of a software program for gastroenterology medical examination reports (for the Sant Orsola hospital in Bologna and for a swiss pharmaceutical company. I also took part of the analysis and development of several automation softwares intended for production companies (CEAM- OTIS Group, Chloride, etc.). I trained the internal IS/IT team of a big company in distribution to the foodservice sector (Marr – Cremonini Group) on ASP.NET and XML Web Services aimed to prepare the team for the systems integration WebEDI project that I led thereafter.
I performed IT manager assistant tasks in BVM/Les Copains in directing the computerization of the company’s retail stores. I also studied a distance diagnostic tool for a contact lenses company.
I realized Office automation projects, feasibility studies, coordination tasks between suppliers for a few projects for different clients.
I have been teacher in “Telematic networks and Servers hardware” during several professional training classes, funded by the European Social Funds (for Network superior technicians, technical salesmen and for the University of Bologna IFTS course). I also teached marketing during courses aimed at opticians, and teached information/prevention of eye diseases for VDT users.
