My focus will be on supporting country-level programme partners to achieve the following key objectives:
• Transforming their economies into knowledge-based, competitive economies with a leading role for the private sector.
• Creating and enhancing productive employment and sustainable livelihoods, particularly for poorer people, communities, women and disadvantaged groups.

In the long run I will be able to provide governments with the analytical basis for policy formulation and advice on the scientific, technological and industrial environment and its relation to growth, employment and well-being. Assessing how science, technology, innovation and education policies can efficiently contribute to sustainable economic growth and employment creation.
