James Springfield began working for this firm in November 2008, and he has since developed a number of specific strategic solutions for healthcare providers’ unique challenges. Among James Springfield’s accomplishments at JGS Advisory Services have been facilitating the successful relationship between JGS and Ardent Health Services, which involved the decision to acquire new hospitals in various markets, and the collaboration with Capital Point Partners, which entailed the tactical management of the group’s portfolio companies. As a professional who remains fully committed to his clients, James Springfield also serves as the Chairman of the Board of Advantis Healthcare Solutions, which is one of Capital Point Partners' associate companies. Prior to his move to JGS Advisory Services in Missouri City, Texas, James Springfield worked in several other executive capacities. He joined Valley Baptist Health System as the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, a position in which he managed the 613-bed academic hospital, in May 2001. James Springfield later received a promotion to President and Chief Executive Officer. In this role, he boosted system revenue by 100 percent, created and implemented a medical school partnership with The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, and opened two new acute care hospitals. James Springfield won the Robert S. Hudgens Memorial Award for Young Healthcare Executive from the American College of Healthcare Executives in 2004. Consequently, James Springfield has been awarded numerous honors during his career. Most recently, he was granted the Outstanding Young Alumnus Award through Baylor University. Other commendations won by James Springfield include the Early Achievement Award, the Outstanding Alumnus Award (both given by the University of Houston-Clear Lake), and the Person of Honor award (bestowed by the Harlingen Hispanic Chamber of Commerce).
